Punjab Health & Wellness Expo 2018

Namo Gange Trust and Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar jointly organised the first edition of ‘Punjab Health & Wellness Expo, 2018’. The Expo was inaugurated by HH Shri Jagdishji Maharaj, the founder of Namo Gange Trust and Dr. Ashok Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University Punjab. Many eminent and distinguished guests blessed and graced the event by marking their auspicious presence on the inaugural ceremony.

The first day of the expo has witnessed enormously with very enthusiastic response among the participants as well as visitors, health seekers, institutes and organizations etc. There were several health-related activities were organised by Namo Gange to draw attention towards health and wellness. People from the diverse extensions have shown great interest in participating in ‘live painting competition’ on the theme of “Bhartiya Yog Sanskrit,” spot photography, “Nukkad Natak Health Show” on the theme of “Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan,” quiz competition, The Grand Master of Yoga Contest, Free Health Checkups, Free Health Consultation, etc.

In addition to all parallel activities, on day two October 13, Namo Gange Trust inaugurated the 6th edition of International Conference“Arogya Sangoshthi 2018’ on special subject of AYUSH, Wellness, Agriculture and Medicinal Plant & Organic Farming, and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical etc. The conference also had an opportunity to submit respective papers and poster by eminent delegates and scholars. The welcome address was given by Dr. Monica Gulati at the international conference Arogya Sangoshthi. Dr. Surendra Chaudhary, President Vishva Ayurved Parishad, Dr. Arun Chandan, Director, NMPB, Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Alok Srivastav, Uttarakhand Ayurved University, and Shri Mukesh Kumar, National President Namo Gange, Delhi were the keynote speakers for the first day of Arogya Sangoshthi.

On day three October 14, the second day of the International Conference “Arogya Sangoshthi 2018” major topics on AYUSH entrepreneurship, regulatory affair in drug manufacturing, organic and herbal farming, stress management were discussed. In the International Conference, a total of 400 abstracts were received, some of undergraduates’ students presented e-posters on themes of Ayurveda, Agriculture, and Pharmaceuticals and post-graduates students, faculties, and practicing doctors gave the oral presentation. Around 1000 delegates including students, scholars, professors, faculties, researchers, and academician have participated in the Arogya Sangoshthi.

On day three October 14, the Expo was concluded award ceremony to distribute awards, trophies, and prizes to all respective winners of several contests like Spot Photography Competition, Quiz Contest, Live Painting Competition, Nukkad Natak, Health Pavilion. Namo Gange Trust also honoured all high profile dignitaries, all exhibitors of the Punjab Health & Wellness Expo 2018. Namo Gange Trust also organised auditions for ‘The Grand Master of Yoga Contest and shortlisted many candidates for the next round to be held in New Delhi in 2019.

Enrollment in AYUSH activities: Namo Gange trust believes a healthy man can better play his role and responsibilities in society. Besides some of the social initiatives, we are making a drive for health and happy India through AYUSH system. We have initiated several health-related activities and health awareness programs like free Health Camps, free Health Checkups, Free Health Pavilion, Painting Competition on Health & Environment, Nukkad Natak on health, Health Workshops, Seminars, and conferences.

The outcome of EXPO: The Yogshala Expo has drawn tremendous attention and big support from the Exhibitors, Visitors, Industry Professionals, Ministries and renowned organisations of Health & Wellness. Including the Ministry of AYUSH a total number 57 Exhibitors have participated in the exhibition and 14’527 students visited the exhibitions a total number of 2700 intellectuals and health seekers also marked their esteemed presence. This exhibition has inspired several young minds towards AYUSH in general and particularly in Yoga, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy, Organic agriculture and Ayurvedic Pharmacy.

With the support of Government organisation, Ministries, and local bodies, Namo Gange Trust is just going to set up a milestone in the AYUSH segment through creating mass awareness in public. Trust is also receiving a very encouraging response from various stakeholders from agriculture, health, & wellness industry. Namo Gange Trust extends heartiest thanks to all associates and supporters for their outstanding support and remarkable contributions to make this event more successful and meaningful.
